Las Vegas, Mesquite, Reno/Tahoe: Nevada nightlife sizzles off course

Let's face it, only Las Vegas could get away with a slogan like "What happens here, stays here." That's because aside from the amazing golf, gaming and dining options, Las Vegas is a place where the night comes alive and the nightlife action will blow you away.

But Sin City isn't the only Nevada location with amazing off-course action. Other Nevada hot spots like Mesquite and Reno and Tahoe give their guests a full array of partying possibilities, making Nevada one of the top spots for those looking to party the night away in an environment that just beckons for fiestas.

Here's a look at some of the top places where you can go get your groove on in Nevada:

Las Vegas nightclubs and more

Las Vegas NightlifeWhen it comes to nightlife, Las Vegas ranks as one of the world's heavyweights, rivaling cities like New York for pure partying power and possibilities. The list of options of where to party are too long to name in this article, and, quite likely, would take a tome to the size of "War and Peace" to hold. However, for those looking for some ideas, here's a few suggestions:

Party Places: Try Blush Boutique Nightclub in the Wynn Las Vegas, but make sure to make a reservation and bring an extra wallet full of money. Rum Jungle inside of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is a place where the hip-hop crowd gets together to formulate their plans for world domination all the while showing off their latest dance and style creations.

Blue Man GroupOk, that's just two options, but seriously, any major hotel and casino has its own trendy hot spot, and even the Hard Rock has its own casino and hotel, plus an array of other night clubs dot the landscape in and around Vegas. If you want a party, you'll find one.

Vegas Shows: Here's another area where the choices are insane. You can see such shows as the Blue Man Group or O, or see a variety of comedy shows. You can also see such stars as Elton John, Barry Manilow, Bette Midler, and heck, even Danny Gans. A truly uproarious town for entertainment is Sin City.

Mesquite Nightlife

Following Las Vegas is no easy feat, and Mesquite looks a little barren compared to its big brother. But fret not, there are still plenty of places to party, or enjoy music or a show in Mesquite.

Matteo's Restaurant and Underground Cafe is a place to enjoy some modern music and the festivities that go along with such music. The Eureka Season Hotel has Season's lounge which features music, played by musicians. The Oasis has Rock'it Lounge which will feature live music of the rockin' genre, while they also supply Club Xtreme, which will have the hip-hoppers hopin'. Make sure to check ahead when making a Mesquite golf package to see what other live events are taking place in this growing golf and entertainment city.

Reno and Tahoe Nightlife

Between them, Reno and Tahoe give Las Vegas a bit of competition when it comes to its nightlife. In fact, with a more laid-back attitude than Sin City, many prefer to spend their entertainment dollar in the High Sierra. And both Reno and Tahoe pack a potent partying punch.

RenoReno: With a healthy amount of hotel casinos, it's easy to find a place to strut your stuff in Reno. The Aura Ultra Lounge at Silver Legacy Resort Casino is always ready to get more dancers on their dance floors, while All City Live at Grand Sierra Resort will blast the decibels straight through your head. From what we're told suits and stilettos prevail at 210 North, but we'll see for ourselves. As for entertainment, Reno's hotels supply an ever-changing and eclectic mix of shows and musicals while headliners such as comedian Bill Maher will normally be in town at any given time.

Tahoe: While the lake and ski slopes makes Tahoe a great place for day play, when the sky goes dark, the playing gets even hotter. Tahoe is a class place for music lovers at there are options galore. Whiskey Dick's Saloon is a fun place that features a variety of live acts while the Bar of America and the Crown Room feature local and national talents. Also, hotels like Montbleu Resort Casino & Spa, Harrah's and Harvey's consistently bring in talented and old-favorite headliners like Tony Orlando, David Spade, Damon Wayans and the Average White Band.
