The Lakes Course at Red Hawk

The Lakes Course is one of two championship courses at Red Hawk Golf & Resort in Sparks. It is considered one of the best golf courses in Reno. The course sprawls across carefully preserved natural wetlands that are Audubon-Certified. The landscape is covered with beautiful sparkling lakes and springs that are framed by mature cottonwood trees. Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed the layout, incorporating more than 100 strategically placed bunkers that will challenge even the most seasoned players. The 17th, nicknamed "Hawk's Challenge," is the signature hole. This monstrous par 3 plays entirely over water to a tiny green. Par would be a well earned reward on this formidable hole. The other championship golf course at Red Hawk, the Hills, is a signature Hale Irwin design that offers a completely different set of challenges.
